That must have been before the big windstorm last night??
The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....
Great Job Dave!!!!!!
Wow Dave super nice airplane!!! I'm pushing to finish my PA-12 so it's a 50/50 shot whether my son and i make it to JC or not. Updates forth coming!
The new Aerotronics panel is being installed. As you can see in the photo the wiring is clean organized and sanitary... works good too. The Aveo LED position/strobe system is getting hooked up. That is an amazing lighting system. High visibility, low power consumption, light, etc. I'm sticking a set on 83516 after we finish this project. The light weight B&C starter and alternator have both been installed. The new 31's arrived and will be on this week. This is a very capable craft that is going to serve someone well. Wayne is putting together a list of mods which we will post as soon as it is received.

We're in the final stages of completion... Jeff Skyberg started the annual inspection yesterday and we started the engine today.N2359P should be back in the air by the end of the week.

The engine runs great, no surprises. We're finishing out the paperwork and then we go test the wings.

Great Job Dave,
Do you have a lot of people looking at it yet?
Hey Kevin, We have to finish the annual and get a few hours on it before we start to advertise it. I'm headed out to Miles City in the next week or so to get some video and still photos. We should be listing it for sale by mid-August. DK

We had a couple delays regarding the shoulder harness mounts and also needed field approvals. Those approvals were received Friday. The project now goes to Circle Aviation for a weight and balance and annual inspection. I'm planning to go out next weekend and try it out.. will take lots of photos. As most know we will be selling Don Sheldon's old cub (N2359P) soon.

Don Sheldon's old Cub??? Wow. What are the chances of finding that? If that Cub could talk, imagine the stories it could tell!!!
It was a big day for N2359P... the weight and balance was done and she is signed off. The weight is 1092 (with 31" ABW's installed). Other than a slight leak in the fuel sight gauge there were no squaks. Skyberg said Don Sheldon called and he wants it back.

Wow. Looks awesome! And light. What did it weigh from the factory? And idea?

Way to go. I like those valve covers.
Dave, and make a list of the mods.
I recently had an opportunity to inspect 59P. Beautiful!

Yep, I have egg on my face. I went to Miles City to fly the cub, take photos, and visit a couple North Dakota growers. On my way out I got a call from Jeff Skyberg telling me there was an error on the weight and balance and that my previously published numberof 1092 lb. was wrong. Based on your feedback this weight discrepancy came as no surprise to many of you. Here are the two weight and balance sheets. The corrected version now shows an empty weight of 1121.5 lb.

We put together a quick website which includes photos and descriptions of the "Sheldon Cub". This is a draft and we will be making changes. We also want to include a section with photos of log book entries etc. Feel free to offer suggestions.

I thought that was awfully light.

What an absolutely gorgeous airplane!
This is a nice web site, Dave.
Knowing Skyberg,, he probably put rocks in it to help it gain a little weight.... Then he will find them while you arent looking and become a hero...
another fine example of the Mackey workmanship---just beautiful.!!!!!!
Flew the Husky up to Miles City today and flew Kirstens cub around. Great flying cub.

The Sheldon Cub has been sold!
Kase, I'd like to thank you personally for mentoring Ryan in the Sheldon Cub. He commented that in your hands the plane could do pretty much anything. You helped him get comfortable with the plane and with the people involved. I've invited Ryan to relay his experience on this thread. It would be fun to hear the story from his perspective.

Sure wish I would have had a hundred g's laying around.... What an amazing cub!
I delivered the cub to its new owner today. You sure can tell when its hunting season in South Dakota. I had the smallest plane on the ramp.
