I was looking through my videos. I'll send the one I have to Bob and Bobby, leaving it to their discretion if they wish to post it. Bob was very composed and happy or so it appears. Had I not met Bob briefly this might of slipped through the cracks...

Don't you think his name was on my mind when I wrote that???????

Paul is DQ'ed from this discussion, for obvious reasons.

I just got done digging out again. Wasn't thinking of snow. Miss my wife who is in Colorado.

Yes some snow here. We had to close the schools because of snow load on the roof. The administrators didn't think about shoveling them. We of course were shoveling the hangers off a while ago. A couple years ago a fellow had a 150 outside over the winter but everything else is inside. The snow is about 7 feet high on the ground, the city is using blowers and cats to get the snow into piles. The city has 9 966 loaders, 3 14M graders and two catapillers to take care of the streets. Pretty amazing, you can drive anywhere anytime. Parking may be limited for the fly in and the skis may add to the landing distances. I think we are 4 feet ahead of the pace of the record year in 1989 when we received 560 inches. The city is offering $20 an hour for snow shovelers if any of you are really missing snow.

..and then you have a smartass like Ken to deal with along with all that snow.

  16. #96
Mike, now i see where all our snow is. Never realized you guys were getting it like that. My brotherinlaws up there havent even said nothing. That house scares me, in my younger years built to many homes to look at that much weight sitting on top of one. A few years back a neighbor of mine was up on a John Deere dealers roof in Harvey, ND with a walk behind snowblower, roof went down, no choice but to ride er down to the main floor. Be careful.

here in anchorage chugiak its not THAT bad at all, but is record setting for us.......

I kept telling myself, "think of those guys down on coast, this is nothing..." as I was shoveling this morning....

was kinda pissed the neighbor shoveled the roof of their motor home, and put all the snow ON TOP OF MY pathfinder!! on our side of fence...and between pathfinder and fence.... it was packed up to mid-window height like 4+ feet... run out of room in your yard, put it in my driveway......

We need pictures for those that cannot comprehend that much snow. We had 82" last year and thought it was a lot.

Perhaps if I knew how to post pictures it would help. We are over 400" so far. Looks like we make have to have a ski contest this year. There was a D-8 beside the house today pushing up piles of snow in the snow lots. It is amazing how life just goes on. Life just goes on, the streets are generally cleared by 8am. There was a problem when the city schools and government didn't think that perhaps they should start shoveling some roofs.
