    Strikemaster Strike-Lite II auger

Anyone had any experience with their 4-stroke model? Shopping for a new auger for the aircraft. This seems to be the lightest in the line-up(23 lbs), although the most expensive($620.00 Cdn. at Bass Pro). Also noticed they've replaced the older style composite auger with steel. Thanks in advance.

Brent.. no matter the model.. lose the bolt and replace the unit to auger with a MIL spec quick pin. That way the motor can sit upright behind your seat. I do it with my 2 hp x 9" Jiffy.

Auger also makes a good camera mount.... and you can see the MIL spec quick pin I use.

Where did you buy the pin? That would make it a lot easier to carry the auger on the snowmachine and the cub. I have an Eskimo ice auger it starts easy and drills through 5 foot of ice in subzero temps fairly easy. The sheefish are back we caught 70 the other day. Average of 25lbs a piece. What a sled load. It must have weighed 1200lbs. Yum fresh sheefish.

A lot of the new 4 strokes don't have oil in the crankcase, it's mixed in the gas like a 2 stroke but only uses a small amount of oil, thank Calif for this as all the new weedwackers there are 4 stroke and without CC oil, it's not new technology, some of the WWII drone motors were developed to run like this because oil was scrace

If you run anything older then 5 years old make sure you use the startron enzyme in the gas. www.startron.com

Brought her home last night in the snow storm, after chemo #3. She seems to be taking this one much better than the first one and still eating okay today. MRI on the 21st to get surgeon a new picture.. next full week chemo 26th to 31st.. then it looks like surgery to remove most of her right pelvic bone and possibly her hip socket in early february... then 6 more chemo's 3 weeks apart. Hope to have her fishing off the camp dock by end of June !

Thanks Nanook... Ewing's Sarcoma in her right pelvic bone. Only 40 cases of Ewing's diagnosed per year in Canada. She's a fighter and will beat it.. all 90 lbs of her!!

Thinking with a four stroke it would have been handy to refuel out of the wing. Also gotta remember though, I'm not drilling holes for a tournament. A tank of fuel lasts a long time!
