Go to the PROFILE link on the upper right or maybe it is settings.
In the upper right part of the screen click on Settings. On that page look in the left margin for My Settings and select Edit Avatar. Change the photo file as desired. The new software will re-size the photo for you so you don't need to convert it to itty-bitty before you insert it.

I like the Avatar deal
except it didn't work
It shows a new pic in my profile but not here
On my screen, it's Forum Actions in the top menu bar, then settings or profile in the sub-menu.

Settings-My Settings-Edit Avatar to change Avatar.
Settings-My Settings-Edit Profile Picture to change profile picture.
I've been switching mine just for fun. I like the profile picture feature.

Why is the avatar pic blurry on my computer screen at home? It is clear on my screen at work. How can I make it clear at home?
It worked !!! It's so simple even I could do it. I might even get brave enough to see if I can add photos to a reply.

SJ, speaking of avatars, my computer at work shows the smaller avatars. When I go home and log on, my computer shows the larger avatars but the pictures are very grainy and they won't become clear. How do I make them clear? Why are they small at work and large at home?
Re: viewing from a smart phone. The new home page i much easier to read from my iPhone. While SJ contends that avatar size may slow these phones down I can report that even threads with lots of pictures like the tools thread load very quickly on my phone using 3G. One oddity about this new software is page length seems to be very long. Scrolling to the top or bottom is more balky than it was before. Perhaps page length can be modified? I'll still say I prefer the larger avatar format. If it makes my phone browser take an extra hundredth of a second, I can live with that.

SJ,
How can I change the layout colors on the Supercub.org Home? The Hot Topic list with the alternating blue lines and white font are not 'my' preferred layout. Is this editable by the viewer/user?
Thanks,
Sharp
I understand the dot adjacent to the user name on a post. If that dot is green the user is on-line. If not, they aren't. When looking at the users on line list on a discussion page what is the asterisk indicating by some user's names?
