    PA-12 Wings

I was out looking at a PA-12 that is for sale in Anchorage, it has 150hp, flaps, supercub tail. The wings were finished in a fashion I hadn't seen before. It appears that they are the same length as a stock supercub, there was one parked beside it. Where the bow tip beongs it was squred off and capped with 1/4" plywood. How long is a stock supercub wing? I am going to take a tape measure to this one. I was wondering if it had been ground looped or if someone had a square tip stc that used a plywood cap? Never seen this before and it made me wonder about the rest of the plane.

The squared ones are stc or 337 installed on some.

I have always seen aluminum though.
