I have a set of the shorter pivot length stubs. I need to drill them for the sticks but I don't know how far down from the top the hole should be. The drawings I can find give this distance for the older stubs and sticks. Thanks for the help.

You can't really just "drill them out" they need to go in a vice and a mill or something with some precision. Then you need to weld a new bushing in.Originally Posted by wpbrady

The stubs are correct now. The hole I was talking about is the one where the control stick is attached to the stub, not where the stub attaches to the torque tube.
I thought this would be an easy question. If anyone has their bent control stick removed from the stub, would you measure from top of stub down to the hole where the stick was bolted to the stub. That is the number I need. Thanks.
WP, Do you need the distance for both the front and rear sticks? My back stick is out and I can pull my front tomorrow and send you the #s

That would be great. I assumed they would be the same but who knows. My stub is just under 4 inches long from the bushing center line to the top of the stub. You could give me the length either up from the pivot bushing or down from the top of the stub. Thanks for the help.
I wanted to revive this post because I still need this measurement. Please help if you can.
Mine is an Exp Cub and the measurement is 3/4". It is not a very critical measurement as the bolt only keeps the stick from sliding out of the stub. Hope this helps.

1 1/8'' down from the top on a certified assembly.Dimension is the same on both the long and short pivot stubs(at least on the ones I have).
