Mark Erikson told me there was 8 pounds between his standard wing and the slotted wing. They have also done some things to lighten the wing also. I think it has lightening holes in the spars. Seems like there were other things but I have slept too many times since I talked to him.

The difference is approximately 8 pounds for the Dakota slotted wing. And that includes the additional material in the slot and to make the wing "square tipped."Originally Posted by Steve Pierce

Dakota's replacement standard PA-18 round tipped wing is obviously less than the slotted wing, but i can't remember off the top of my head what the difference is.
