    31s rubbing brake caliper

I got home from New Holstien with my new Bushwheels and after looking them over tonight I noticed the brake caliper just barely rubs the tire. I took the wheel off, removed the brake disc and put a 1/8" spacer between the wheel and the disc, Anyone else have this problem and if so what did you do.

I had the same problem. I was told to pick up a set of spacers from Stoddards. Tried that and then the torque plate wasn't right. Then I was told to see some guy at Merrill Field who made some kind of a spacer for the torque plate. I gave up on the spacer thing and wound up buying a new set of wheels and bakes at Reeves. I think they were the clevelands for a 180, can't remember. I just remember having to buy them. If you look around, you will see bushwheels that have rub grooves because of this problem. I think there is a thread that talks about this problem.

Scott, don't know how to post a link to a thread, but Airglass engineering in AK has shims you put between the brake disc and the wheel. Tamarac(vicky) had the
    Phone number and part number.

    Tim,
When you put the spacer in between the disc brake and the wheel, this moves the disc out. For me, this left the torque place for the brakes recessed. When I went to put the brakes back on, the pins on the brakes barely went into the holes on the torque plate. I don't know how far they should go in, but I didn't want them locking up on me. Just something to watch out for.

I put washers in there before I got the shims to see how it would work. The pins go in far enough so I don't think it will be a problem. But I'll keep an eye on it for sure. If there's a problem I'll let you know.
