"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Benjamin Franklin
The article was alittle ambiguous.Flying low and clipped the trees or flying low and had engine trouble, then tree trouble.I guess time will tell.Anyway,my new Resqfix PLB has just been shipped.I'm also putting together a survival vest that Rob Hunter sells. He has a very nice site @ preparedpilot.com.Another great site is eqippedtosurvive.com.Alot of great info.on both.....Herman.
I was at the BDN when the Blackhawk came in. The Blackhawk came in on one engine. The pilot did not tell the crash survivors that they had an engine out, he probably figured they had had enough excitement for one day.
Update......NTSB preliminary states "flying at low altitude and developed engine trouble, attempted to put down in trees and ended up inverted on snow covered terrain".They're fortunate to be still breathing.Hooray for them......Herman.
