    HEY AK GOT WINTER

Lots of snow and cold for our northern bros and sisters. Check out Chandalar Lake. I would say the fleet is grounded.

Not AK but close. Calling for -29 Straight and -59 W.Chill on Thursday here in my neck of the prairie, according to Accuweather.
Last week we set a record high of 46, but looks like we'll pay for it this week.

My horses don't care for much below -15F but they seem to do OK. -15F is tolerable after -40F or colder. We have been getting spoiled the last several years in Fairbanks, as the winters are warmer than normal. Now when it hits -30F everyone is complaining about the cold.

    Mit,
We had one down in Mississippi in 93 or 94. They estimated about 2 tons of ice between poles on the small lines. No telling what would have been on the Xmission lines. I'll have to get my friend to send me the photo if his 150 on the ramp after the storm.

In our storm it started late afternoon and continued into the night. about 3-4am the wind began to blow and all hell broke loose.
