    Headset Microphones

What headsets/microphones seem to do the best job of cutting out the wind noise when the side door is open. Problem is worst in back seat, of course. Currently I have the little foam covers for mine and have found that a finger cut from a latex glove and slipped over sure helps, but doesn't cure.

Try a set of David Clarks ANR's or upper end Non ANR''. David Clark's mics have always been better. I notice when I fly with mixed brands like lightspeeds they open up the whole cabin when triggered. The bose 10x are pretty darn quite too. If your ready to upgrade your Intercom with the DRE line.

Oregon Aero makes a mic muff that significantly cuts down on wind noise and such. We've used them in open cockpit aircraft extensively, and they work great. In fact their whole headset upgrade kit is great.

Oregon Aero also makes a really neat padding system for your kevlar helmet too....our task force bought a bunch of them. I have the OA mic covers on my Sigtronics headsets and really like them.
