Anyone out there who runs a GA "fat tire" on the tail got a Field Approval ? I would really like to see one! Seems like my mech. has got a good guy at the FAA who will signoff. So I am trying to clean up the paperwork. Thanks jk

JK,
suggest you call Bill Dunkin or Wup at Bushwheels about their new TW/Fork, STC's PMA'd (having a soft ass is not always a bad thing!) you will be glad you did
(800) 442-8473
Whoa Tim, not to say that Bushwheel hasn't made a nice knock-off of the Gar Aero setup, but the thing is, I already own the GA and I like it. I'll keep the $675. I'am not rich and famous like some. That baby bush tire sure is cute though...
Sorry, I jumped and didn't realize you already had a GA fork/tire, you are right, they do work fine, especially if you can get them approved. Hurry, as it may be soon (OCT1) next to impossible! I am not sure if Bushwheels tire will fit inside the fork? but the softness of a tundra tire in the rear will be an huge advantage (in some situations)
Tim
All---
The Baby Bushwheel WILL fit the G.A Fork
and BTW Tim hows the fork/tire working for you? and I have tried the video in several different computers and it don't work... I will send it back to you to see if you can get to work
Wup
Wup, The fork works great! I am sad to say I haven't been doing much flying lately??? My wife says I had my fun 120 hours during the Alaska trip and now she wants to have fun, and for me to "get back to work". Guess I will have to defer my comments till I get more ground covered.
The added width will be great for enabling the "bushwheel to run a little lower pressure then the std tire.
The casting is of the highest quality! (Mark makes good molds)
Tim
Hey Tim, your right time is of the essence, thanks for looking out for my A.... tail.. Wup, also thanks for the input, who knows, if the price of marten and wolfs stays high, I'll be buyin one of those baby bush tires. Kinda reminds me of a puppy.....soft and cuddly.. Now how about that FA? anybody?
JK--
I will look in our records to see if I have a copy there should be some one in FB that would have one..... I will let you know what I find
Wup
I have a friend who has about the most off airport experience of anyone I know. He doesn't like the large tailwheel. Says it makes it harder to steer the aircraft on gravel bars.
