I thought you all would enjoy this. It happened to a friend of mine who lives in a large eskimo village on the west coast of Alaska. My friend Kenny told me that one day he got out of his PA12 along with two children he had with him. A Flight Standards person drove up while they were getting out. The Flight Standards guy comes up to Kenny and asks him, "How do you get 3 people in a cub?" Kenny said, "I don't know.". Flight Standards, "3 people got of your airplane." Kenny, "That's right.". Flight Standards, "WELL how do you get three people in a cub?" Kenny, "I DON'T KNOW.". Flight Standards, "You had 3 people in your cub didn't you?" Kenny, "NO, I DON'T HAVE A CUB.". Flight Standards, "This is a cub.". Kenny, "NO, this is a Super Cruiser and it has the capability to seat 3 people.". The Flight Standards guy didn't know the difference between a PA18 and a PA12. I think he does now. I enjoy hearing Kenny relate the story.
