After years of searching for the right deal and saving up money for a down payment I finally found it. 1951 PA-18 140. Bank just called this morning with my pre approval so hopefully in the next couple weeks I'll be flying again.

Never heard of a PA-18-140.
O290D2 maybe?
I've usually heard them referred to as a PA18-135.
In any event, congrats on your new airplane.

yes, O290D2. My mistake. thought it was 140hp but that's just 5 minute power

calls out the spcs for the various models of the PA-18.
Doesn't the aircraft data plate reflect which model it is (or was)?
As in PA-18-135
