I was wrong. They are mostly shooting shotguns and they are closer than the video makes it look like. I live in Mississippi and they tear up my roads, pasture, and yard. They are a horrible nuisance. I have 7 in the trap now which we will butcher on Saturday. They cook up real good!
Hey Steve, Thanks. I saw that on their website, but on the video that started this thread, they were shooting rifles. They must be a lot closer than it looks on the video since they did not miss very many shots.
Damn, those guys are good shots. I wonder what caliber rifles they are shooting. I leave been shooting hogs with a 223 and they are hard to kill with that caliber. Too many run off.
Looking at the pictures of the instrument panel it looks like the glare shield extends pretty high over the instrument panel. I wonder if this reduces your forward visibility? With bushwheels, the nose is pretty high already.
I have written a letter to the City of Brandon and complained about exorbitant fees for a small private aircraft and thanked them for appreciating the US tourist. I offered to pay an invoice for Customs that was a reasonable charge. I also sent a copy of the letter to the Honorable Minister of...
That really sucks! On top of that they mailed the invoice to the wrong address so I received the second invoice with a $32.49 late fee charge. I was in a C206. Thanks for the article, just a little too late.
I flew to Alaska in July and I just received an invoice from the City of Brandon for Customs fees in the amount of $936.00. I was floored! This is not normal, is it? I have not received anything yet for the return flight. I have never heard of this.
steve

churchill
now this would be a fun trip with the group that is talking. i went to churchill in june 04 from mississippi. we went one way going and a different route coming back and had no problem with fuel, always fueling at airports on wheels. we never did take fuel on the water. that is...

take your choice! sharks down south or grizzleys up north!
float questions
i really hate to disagree with mike vinion because he is so knowledgeable on all airplane subjects put to him and i have really respected his opinion through this medium. but! you could do a lot more damage to a float bulkhead by putting pressure or vacuum on one of the...
time on amphibs
now that is a really good one! i'll bet he had a headache at the end of the day. steve, you will like flying with terry, he is a great guy.
great article steve! in fact it hits home with me right now as one of my neighbors is complaining that my flying over his house is disturbing his right to privacy. i keep my plane at my house in an agricultural area that has grown up in the last few years and his house is about a quarter mile...
hello everyone
i need help. does anyone remember where the discussion is about cutting off the flap handle. i did it and it works much better and is safer since the left aileron travel is not restricted by the knee. but, my ai is concerned about signing it off as a minor mod since it changes...
