Hey Denny. My son Jeff Baber is the Cubcrafters dealer in that area and he operates out of that airport. Cheers.

I might be wrong, but I think very little oil gets to the valve stems. That is why MMO is added to the gas. And it does seem to help valve problems.

I wouldn't be too sure about it being photo shopped. Our neighborhood had a sign that said gynaecologist dentist. We couldn't stop laughing about that one. [emoji3]

All I would say is, we have millions of auto drivers from age 15 to 100 driving cars every day with no medical problems. If they don't feel well they don't drive. Pilots would do the same. Save the billions of dollars spent for medicals and use it for Obama care where it's really needed to...

Great that you are experimenting. The only caution I would put forth from years of experience with XFoil is look at the airfoil with the boundary layer tripped (no laminar). If it behaves then, you have a good airfoil. If you see anomalies in the data , keep looking. Also, trailing edge...
Good luck writing your Cub book. We can always use more. I think aviation books should be similar to Richard Bach's first books that featured a particular airplane, what its like to fly them, etc. The books that are all about "I went here and then I went there" , just don't interest me.

I think you would find the opposite problem with a Rotax. The cg would be too far aft. And they are not the most reliable.

and when you crash, what then better buy a better coat....
No, you do wear a leather coat over the top. Its not the only thing you wear. Besides it doesn't get that cold here, we're just spoiled. :D

I just found a battery heated shirt for $110. Its called a Longmen shirt. Very cool (warm) for Cub flying (and motorcycle).

My company ( Northrop Grumman) built a full size one of these for testing. They found out it was slightly better than airplanes of the period but nothing that you would call stealthy. Nova did a special on it. I think you can still order it from them. Also shown on military channel from time to...
