A little over a week away for the Su-in Lieu and it looks like old man winter in the Su Valley. The Knik gravel bars look wide open as of the 27th.

If the sand bars on the Su and Yentna are unusable, could there be a Knik-In-Lieu alternate?? The 6th or 7th has my vote for either one.

How about a different location in the Knik area, say above the gorge this year? It's more scenic, less wind generally and is less trampeled than the picnic table strip.

Yes, you can land at the Village Strip in town. It's BLM land and is open to the public. Just try to land to the north to avoid overflying town. Pattern is west of the strip over the river.
