i've been following this thread with some interest.there has been some pretty strong opinions of the intellectual ability of the pilot-maybe with some foundation -however i would speculate that...

i guess "safe" is always going to be a relative term and yep if you can strap in a car seat its probably the way to go, but my thinking with a 12 m old that starts screaming its head off in...

- try mom straps in with seat belt, and baby strapped to mum with a baby harness-kind of like a back pack but holds them in front.worked for us and seems safe.

if you are looking at going down that route check out the rans s7, its been around for a long time and has a pretty good track record.
