Looks like it's aimed at the light truck market. It's been used in unmanned helicopters already, hopefully...
I think that a "major alteration" by definition means a alteration to the aircraft that takes it away from it's original TC design by some approved method. Is any fabric type listed on the TC?, I...
Tim, I believe that species is called fukin gulls, that's all I have ever heard them called. Never hit one in the Cub but hit birds on a daily basis when working. The absolute worst smell in the...
Sorry . I made a post with a lot of derogatory comments toward fat cubs and can't deleat it from the phone. Fat cubs need love too .
Aaaa
Want to make sure I'm getting the right point across.....
Had a plane come into the shop that was acting just like this one after having a new set of cylinders installed. Tore it down and it...
Steel rings in steel barrels? Or Chrome rings in chrome barrels? I've seen this before, that would be my first guess.
From the pictures there was a lot of hard steel or chrome particles...
Aca is sending something hope it's the drawings . Didn't know it was on the tc that helps a lot thanks .
I know it's a factory option on new single exhaust planes but need legal approval for the old bellanca dual exhaust.
It may have been installed on the right muffler (carb heat side) like a atlee cub heat robber with it's own valve but need it to be legal .....
Anyone know of a stc for rear seat heat on a dual exhaust bellanca citabria 150? Not interested in field approvals .
Id assume u have to build the whole harness like the old beckers ? If your customer can afford a Becker he can afford a good intercom with harness. Id do that to avoid future problems . I've had...
I've only got to drive it once so far.......

I'll be keeping a eye on the new diesels, they are advancing rapidly. Bought a VW Passat with the new diesel. Driving it you don't even know it's a diesel till you have to fill the tank. It's just a...
Randy is the guy to deal with on the round airbox/cowl, and the carb swap is a good idea. I think you are on the right track, good luck.
I fly around Peoria a lot when working, the river valley is a prime spot for ice, lots of juice holds in the air. Have a Cub up here with the same engine as yours and round filter, makes ice all the...
Isn't the "protective coating" pure aluminum over the alloy or are you talking about something else? Alloys corrode thats why they plate them with pure al. I used to use the hard plated tubes just...
Running fuel lines anywhere close to outside fabic/fairings/structure in the prop wash area is a really bad idea. I'd run them inside the structure like Piper did to keep them protected.
This ain't France. Closest living thing by me is the bear that took a big **** by my tent. Stepped in it before i saw it, dam bears. Can't believe i get innernet here can't hide anywhere anymore .
I'll be gone for the next week or two(no phone or innernet), but could look at it when I get back if you want.
Don't worry Steve, I haven't completely gone to the dark side, that fancy stuff is for the other planes. The axe is still the most intricate piece of optional equipement in the Cub.
Gordon,
Thats a lot of money for just a gyro. If u have a pc display already u can add a e-gyro for much less. I have a e-gyro-usb which can plug into just about anything, its $595 from...
Steve,
Double check the intake/exhaust rockers were not switched when installed. Being factory hopefully they put them in right but I've seen factory stuff screwed up before....If they are switched...
Yes, Filter removed on the square would pull the same as a round installed. That told me the square just didn't have enough area. These were stock 150 and 135 cub boxes on a 320. The round was the...
