Bigrock, my state aeronautics and the FAA both advised me to get an "avagation easement" on my runway. They both agreed that it's the best protection. I don't know if you got the same advice....

I liked the first episode. I'd also like to see a little on some of the rebuilders... like Steve Pierce (there's a good family angle there!) or mikemcs up in AK...those guys might get someone...
Had a 206 come in one time that had a hose that ran all the way to the tail from the breather, attached with adel clamps all the way (they really did a pretty nice job....) instead of just doing a...
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's one of the main reasons I'm no longer a supporting member.
But Joe actually had a reason to go..... not just publicity.

Kinners are easy to start...if you know a Kinner. If you try to swing them too hard, you just get tired. I've started them countless times when someone else had exhausted themselves, trying to swing...
Buggs66 is right on the money. Tom Orr lives in a very nice log home, just a little ways off the hiway, between Eureka and Libby. Hardly the "life and death struggle" they'd like it to sound like....
I think it's the vent tube for the belly tank.
If you're dead set on experimental, why not go ahead and build an experimental exact replica, then pedal the E2 project when you don't need it for dimensions, etc? That would be the best of all...
You might inquire over on vb.taylorcraft.org and see if anyone over there has any helpful things for you. Great project! I'm not sure of the "experimental" aspect as well... it's not going to be...
Was that 670 powered Fairchild at Felts Field in Spokane for a while? Seems to me that the guy that ran the parts dept for Felts Field Aviation had a 670 powered one. (of course I can't remember his...
I remember crawling around that Pilgrim when I was in ANC in '89...they had a wingtip off for some repair...looked like a bridge in there! I talked to a guy that hauled fish with it for a...
The only time I've seen ecofill do that, the guy was trying to "flood it on" too quick, and then when it ran, he wasn't backing off the feed, but instead he was pulling the gun further away, thus...
Nothing wrong with Stewart's. I've been using it for years without any problems (other than the ones that I caused, and that's not easy to admit for alot of people). It's the ONLY system that's...
Geez....I guess I'm not professional...nor are any of the shops I've worked in. If that's the case, I can show ya plenty of " full-time professional shops" that don't require anything...even ones...
Excellent!!!! I knew those had to be good for something!
I hadn't seen this posted here yet, and thought you might enjoy it, eventhough it's about J-3's...some pretty cool footage!

Hooligan, it's not that hard.. go to an automotive paint supply and buy a full body paint suit as well as either a full face mask with the breathing inlet or at least goggles that allow you to cover...
Pressure fresh air system is an absolute MUST with isocyanide...but NOT the only must! ALL of your soft tissue absorbs the cyanide... eyes, ears, throat, etc.....if you don't cover it all, you're...
Chuck, you'll love the 85! Whole different airplane with that on, and especially where you'll get to keep the short mount!!

FAR45.11(a) will get you what you want. On fabric planes, I've been painting them on an inspection cover, but it doesn't sound like that's totally legal either... as if any of that's going to matter...
[QUOTE=Dave Calkins;529722]Tonight went on campus at UAA (University of Alaska, Anchorage) to the Banff Mountain Film Festival........right on the door to the auditorium was a sign "no concealed...
