Central Cylinder O'hauled/ yellow tagged my cyls for $350 ea (rings are expensive). You can fix oil slinging problems easily and inexpensively for Exp. use. Fuel use - 6.2 gph in mine (2200 rpm) w/...
Rumor has it that by removing the (vacuum) pump drive unit and adding a spacer with a tapped hole in it, you'll eliminate the crankcase breather mess if you add a breather tube (with or without an...
Curious, how many would add flaps if not on floats?
Cabin X-brace! Atlee Dodge was giving away the STC. Call them.
Some Sedans were equipped with 165 hp Franklins under an STC from the Maine State Warden Service (I believe). Also don't forget Burl's 180 hp Lyc. STC.
I suggest that over you trees look for hardwords, not softwoods. You'll probably slip right down thru softwoods, much less likely in hardwoods. 'Course be careful when you step out!
Steve,
Experimental sounding better? wlt
NAPA radiator petcock- Exp, of course.
Covered electric gage holes w/ 1/8" plates and smeg on gaskets. Tygon formula A4040 is their recommended tubing but it's yellow. I've installed it on mine but may well have to change it to something...
Mine on an 85hp was on for several years, soaked in Kroil (best I've found), drive wedges in and off she should come.
Fluorescent- high UV- bad for fabric.
Rough, as in lots of big chunks of asphalt, on 36. The cross runway is a dragstrip w/ lights, etc. on it. Landed there about 7-8 yrs ago, wouldn't go again if I didn't have to. Too bad, the Town had...
Refer to the L-21 Erection and Rigging manual. Should end up at N/S attitude.
Both of mine (MA3) have accelerator pumps.
Have looked and can't find the real thing except maybe for cleaning glasses. Tractor supplies, that I checked, didn't even have them.
How large would you build one for a S'cub (or say, a C-170/Stinson /S15AC Aeronca)) on straight floats?
Irishfield,
Looked at it quickly and didn't notice the bracing on the rafters. Does make it pretty much bulletproof.. And you can't have too many entrances for >Security". wlt
Irishfield,
Noticed two personnel doors, isn't the one in the bifold tough to use for some of your friends at times?
A friend has a truss company here in Town and feels that it is very important to...
Anyone know of a source for chamois cloths?
The AD (#54-05-02) is for nicks/scratches and is recurring every 25 hrs.
TD,
Which prop do you have? Univair says the 13661 is for the AM series Sensenich only, not the 74DM series.
There is also a P/N 13163 spinner but I haven't traced it down yet-regardless Univair...
TDTerry,
Hold tight, we're still looking into it. My s/n is in the 9xx range.
TJ,
Don't believe the "short stubby" spinner for the AM series Sensenich is approved on the 74 DM series. Will check in am as book is out in hanger and it's way past bedtime. I believe the # 13661...
I received an E-mail from a Sensenich tech today that there is no approved Sensenich spinner for a 74DM series prop. She suggested a spinner might be available for that prop from Piper. There is a...
