They look like bicycle seat clamp to me if you're not certified.
That retirement thing just doesn't work for some people. It really gets to me when I see this happen to people that actually work all there lives and don't get an enjoyable retirement. RIP Don
I have dual doors, but in the 550 hrs flown , I have not needed the second door. I fly on amp. during the summer and 29" Bushwheels in the winter. Just my opinion, others will vary.

We try to have a fly-in in June. The first one two years ago had a rain date, that we used but that day was great. We had 13 planes come in and were pleased with the rain day short notice. Last year...
I have landed on a few beaches , not sure if it's OK. Did get reported once but all the RCMP were interested in was if I was transporting drugs. We do not have all the grass landing strips that you...

There was a Glastar that tried to get out of a boat's way on take off last summer in Ontario. Boat operator was looking the other way, and plane lost control and flipped. No one hurt to the best of...
As amateur builders we can swap engines but I'm not sure we could change from a Lycoming to a Mazda engine per say, without having approval from Transport Canada and I'm quite sure they would impose...
I find the fine mesh filter will squish from the skull cap pressure. I would like to find a source for a heavier mesh than the NAPA ones I've been using.

I'm not sure if the length of mine was the same a certified, I'll have to measure it and post the length here and see if someone has Univair's length or give them a call.
Thanks Again Ron
That's what I have , elevator horn hits that tube. It's not adjustable so more travel will not hurt? Other than stretching the spring. My spring is probably from Home Depot , as it came with the kit....
Hi Guys
I noticed the bungy spring on the elevator that connects to the trim screw setup via a cable, was streched. The elevator now droops while parked. I checked the travel and I have 22 degrees...
I have a flying Smith SuperCub, is he making kits again? On the fuel fittings, if they are flared fittings no sealant is needed, pipe threads will need sealant.Ron
My thought is the trouble you would be in , in accident with fuel leakage, tangled up in this fence?
Crossing the water with floats depends on the day. We flew the Atlantic provinces in two amph. Smith Cubs a few years back. We hit the weather perfict, five beautiful days in a row. We first crossed...
I was on a local flight a few weeks ago, just passing on a different side of an island. From quite a distance I saw a steel tower. This tower was in an odd place. It was on the low end of the island...
A PA-18 uses 1/8" cable, don't know what AC you are refering to.

You know when you don't have children in school you don't think much about schools , although we should. I still have two kids in school so I'm in tune when schools in. I had an instructor tell me...

Eastport should be fine, I'll check it out.

Hoping to get the time off and weather to make the fly-in again this year. Does anyone know if I can get US custom clearance at a small airfield? I'm thinking perhaps Lubec Me. I would like to...
Tim, no Fedex , that's the purpose of the chowder, to intice you into coming. Jim , my son and I are planning on Phil's again this year. I plan on removing the floats and installing the Bushwheels...
I love flying low over the water (floats) looking at the 365 islands we have locally. I also enjoy seeing all the fishing boats (season closed now) out and about. Our province is full of lakes. The...
