No welding involved. Just bolt the tailfeathers on. Don't know about canada but here an STC is required. Won't change stick pressure much, but you will have a little more elevator authority.

i glue the seam all the way down the stringer to keep it from moving during the shrinking process. After shrinking I iron the seam to flatten out the bumps.

Sorry you weren't very clear about that. In any case, i believe that you have to have at least 1" of glueing surface over a structure depending on what system you use. Sewing takes about 15 minutes...
dakota 24 gal. tanks are nice also. Amount of and which mods depends on your mission.

I don't see how welding a tube in place of the stringer makes it structural. You are welding the tube to piper "U" channel which is not structural. I sew my own fuselage envelopes with a sewn seem...
Eyebrow pics
2024-T3 will crack under vibration especialy on the eyebrows. It is also harder to work and shape. I use 3003H14 .032" for both the eyebrows and rest of cowling. The original eyebrows had a wire...

Your rudder cables are too long. they should not come anywhere near the flap handle. Shorten the cables.

If it's an auto type then it works differently from an aircraft one. Aircraft works on "INERTIA",ie, rotating force. Auto types work with sort of a pendulum that moves forward during impact, locking...
rear carry hrough spar is perfect. check AC43.13 for more guidelines.

who's harness do you have? IR harnesses are made to lock up at a certain G force upon impact. it does take a good "jerk" to latch hem up. If it's an approved harness it will lock up.

I wouldn't put 6" gear on a PA18 either. The geometry is wrong like Atlee says. However on a PA12 with a wider fuselage u can make the geometry better by making your own cabane and long struts. i...
I believe Atlee dodge and /or Crosswind Stol might have something.i did one years ago but right now don't recall if it was anSTC or field approval..

the only brake lines you'll need are the ones that are on the extended gear if they are not supplied. everything else will work. I f you're going to cover the gear, i see no advantage to powder...
little cub, I'm still a bit confused. You said hat your CG is in front of the allowable CG range. If your at 12.3" then you're "in" the window. 12.3" falls inbetween 10.6 and 22.7. Or am I still...
If you're flying a cub i don't see how your CG is at the front window. what wing mods do you have? A little more detail might explain things. i don't know of any cub with the CG at the front window....
they do make calipers and micrometers that measure that measure that. look at a machine shop supplier. are you experimental?
