I agree on the baby bush wheel, keeps the axel above the gravel better. A friend has a baby bush wheel on his cessna 180 with a crack in it also. Hard landings in the gravel river banks probably...

In my opinion, the only investment worse would be a motor home. Nice $100,000 cub and $200,000. some dollars for gas and the rest for what ever, would make more sence.
We ended up putting the certified cigarette lighter in and it is better built. I have had it in for one year now and have not used it once. (but I have it in anyway) I did hard wire the 496 Garmin...
I flew my cub into the Darrington airpot one time (Washington State) just a small airstrip near a small town but in a valley that gets some pretty good winds at times. It was blowing pretty good...
Im flying the around the world cub. a 1993 PA-18. Bob and Diane Dempster did the trip and told me some of the equipment they used to make the trip. First pay someone who gets everything lined up...
I use the screen for my cub as well. Pull it out every 25 hours and clean it. New gasket and clean housing inside and out and put it back in. Being careful not to over tighten the four housing...
I have them on my PA-18 with 31" Bushwheels. Check air all the time with them on, they look good on the plane and there made out of cheap fiberglass or plastic. Can't see them being very expensive....
Stan at CubCrafters mentioned that possible problem with sand getting trapped in there. He said just pull them off once a year and while washing your plane and clean that area then pop them back in....
Good Idea, more the better. Looking forward to it Dennis
I would love too Dennis, best trip I have had and good company. Talk about big rabbits and good Strawberry shortcake.
Thats a good time to go. Not too dry and hot and not too wet on the ground. It was a blast to fly south some and land on the dry lake beds also. Looked like the salt flats. Don't forget to sign...
Went there with friends last year and stayed at the Hilton by the lake. That was the best camping trip I have been on yet. Not every day when you can sit on the steps of the hilton and look at a...
So was the public paying for the tower operation's and they really were not needed ? Or will the score be much higher at the end of the year for plane crashes ?
That was very neat to see. Alot of humor in some of those shots.
Chad, something else that I thought about that really helped me was to fly the plane at a slow speed about 12" above the runway and not touch the runway all the way down then go around again and do...
Talking to a friend of mine who lives in WhiteFish Montana, He said there was a add in the paper looking for Drone pilots. Pretty scary
Hi Chad
Looks like your flying out of Anchorage, I can really relate to what your going through, Im 66 and flying a cub now trying to live that dream while I can. A friend of mine is retired...
Hello AK-Hunt
I agree with you on the 406 It sends a good signal out and will be picked up in time. Guess my point on the Spot or Spider Track is that it will keep sending out a signal every...
I always keep a tent and sleeping bag in my plane, and of course the spot is always turned on. The spot will leave a trail they can follow and find you within 25 feet. It sounds like he was ready...
Looking in the Summit racing equipment magazine and found a Halon fire system with three discharge lines. You could put one on the fire wall, another on the inside of the firewall and a third one...
I have spare toe brakes and some machinest drawing's that might help you. I have 279T
Bill
Sticking to my first answer on the firman pod. I built fiberglass boats for several years also. The mold cost three or four times in materials to build because of the thickness of the glass to hold...
