Totally agree. A salute to the Mighty Pacific Ocean is a worthy waypoint (or diversion), depending on your perspective.

Just take the ferry from Gustavia and buy some good liquor for the crossing. Have fun. Marigot has some decent restaurants and much more character.

I carry a box of pads in my trauma kit. Excellent field dressing for big wounds, cheap and hold up well until evac'ed to a proper facility.
