Bone stock, Piper frame, with an A-65, and covered in ceconite and the minimal coats of dope, you should see the very low 700s.
We've used the same 1950's Sunbeam A-9 on at least 4 airplanes now- works great with no safety features that keep turning the iron off. Thick base that holds heat. Can get north of 400 degrees, so...
