My Becker is awesome. Had three micro air 760 radios, before I finally gave up on them, and switched. I don't use the built in intercom though. I have a pm 501. Works great.

I have over a 1000 hours on my powder coated gear legs, and I will have to look to make sure, but I dont think there are any rock chips in mine yet. Powder is really tough. Most of my rock damage is...
I think so, at this rate......
Im in. I like having it between the Airmens show, and Valdez, but Im flexible. Any time you guys are doing it, count me in.
I love mine Randy. Really light and simple.

I will try to figure out how to post them here. It was a great turnout, with 22 planes that showed up. The weather was good, and the food was great! I sure had a blast, and I am glad everyone could...
She's not much of a trapper though..... I guess its just you and me next year. ;-)
I picked up a sheep tag at Tazlina, and a caribou. Cant wait, should be a fun hunting year.
I wouldnt trade mine for nothing. Draggy????? Not really much different than 31's. I still cruise at 92 mph@ 2500 RPM with a 82-41. They are heavier, but worth every pound IMO.
You are correct about the cylinders being available. It just seems like when ever I need a new one they are about a week out. I usually need one sooner, so I have been keeping one on the shelf just...
I think they were in mostly Cessna 170's, but a friend of mine had one in his cub. I can not say for sure, but that its what I was told.

From what I am told, the crank is the part that really makes a narrow deck lighter. The eci 340 crank is heavy, so I think you would be defeating the purpose of trying to keep it light. IMO you would...
Yep, that's what I have been told. Its no more illegal than guys that run 10:1 compression pistons in wide decks.

The biggest weight difference that I was aware of was the crank. I was told by Bob Lutz, that the narrow deck was 4-5 pounds lighter that the widedeck crank. He told me that is why a narrow deck will...
I run a B&C 40 amp alternator. If you plan on going to all L.E.D lighting a 20 amp rear mount alternator is all you would ever need. That is the route I would go. Lighter too.
I love my Narrow Deck. It flat out rips. One other difference that I have not seen mentioned is that the cams are different, and harder to get. I think they are a little more expensive as well. I am...
I dont have a picture, but it sets on the exhaust stack by the oil filler. If you have a rear seat heater, you have to disconnect it temporarily. I will try to find a picture of it somewhere.
By the way, you wont regret upgrading to the 160 hp pistons. It really makes the engine come to life.
160 hp. engines do not require 100 octane. They were built and designed to run on 91. I mix all the time with no problems what so ever. I have a friend that actually burns straight 87, and says that...
