I have never seen one ground like that. Looks like someone used a die grinder. The only thing I have seen is the seam where they were cast cleaned up.

What really makes it a collectors item is the Okie fuel tank in it I gave him. Priceless.

In 1970 Piper started TIG welding the fuselages and they stretched 9/16". That is also the year they started using Ceconite fabric.

Using the Hawker SBs J-16 (certified PC680) in stock location with no problems turning the old starters. I would load test the battery.
