Baby Bush Tail Wheel and Pawnee springs too heavy duty for standard PA12 Tail

Landed on a short grass strip that was frozen and when I applied my brakes as I was running out of runway, my PA 12 went into a slow mo ground loop. The Baby Bush wheel never broke free, probably because I had both brakes locked and the surface was slippery but as I completed the 360, the side of the tail wheel dug in and the side load caused the left vertical brace to buckle where it attaches to the tail post. I was told this was because the PA 12 stock tail was not beefy enough to handle the torque of the combo Baby Bush Wheel and Pawnee springs. Has any one else had this happen?
