Lord mount torque

Putting the lord mounts on my dynafocal engine mount, IO-370, and could only find one reference in an engine installation manual to what value to torque the 5/8 mount bolts, saying 40 foot pounds, that seemed like a lot of torque, thought I better ask if that is correct. Thanks

450-500 inch pounds sticks in my mind from the past- the manual sounds reasonable to me. I'd bet it's just whatever standard torque is for an AN-7 bolt; there's nothing magical going on there- you're just squeezing the mount rubbers til you hit the spacer inside. If you're using castle nuts and cotter pins, there's usually a wide torque range to allow for alignment of the hole and nut.
