That looks good, Ron. I'd like a larger space to work in like yours. As I recall, you've not had that project too long, have you?

Thanks Bill Id like to compare notes with you on your motor mount and your air box asIe you know your motor mount and mine are the same and I,m working with Jay on my air box as I don't like it pointing down in the front.Ieither want it straight or running up and carb heat inlet dosn't satisfy me/ thanks aging your project is outsanding Ron

Thanks for keepin' us up to date. You'll like the PTT on the throttle. That looks like one of B&C's push buttons.

Tell us about the window strip.

Hi all I posted the PTT so others could see what my PTT looked like. The window strip has bin a real pain on this airplane because the AL stripes I got fit very poor and trying fit than made for a bad day . So I got in touch with a good CUB builder Tim James and he gave us a guide on the material and the way to go about it and my friend Chris Tatro did it and I helped a little. If you what to do this I can help whit the material list but it takes a little time and I 'm slow.

Ron Copeland Javron Cub Completed

IMG_0662.JPG Rons cub 2.JPG
Special Airworthiness Certificate issued May 15 after 3years 7 months of solid work. Empty weight 1052# with oil, a
40# metal prop and 850/600 tires. I intend to replace the 40# prop with a Catto prop.

I've been flying the airplane for a week...all is fine with the minor exception of #1 & #2 cylinder temps running warm in the 375 degree range. Flies straight, stalls straight.

Ron

Awesome. Congratulations. That is a great weight too. So far we now have three Javron Cubs done and all three are very light.
Congratulations. I can't wait to see it.

Bill

Finishing what you begin is a big deal, and you've endured to the end. Congratulations to you.

Please give us updates about your test flights and also tell us what you'd do differently if you were to build another airplane.
