Where can I find these over-centre latches or catches?

Please see photo.

They are in the UK, but what is a source in North America, especially in Canada?

Thanks

Univair has them as Stinson latches. You have to be careful on eBay - some of these were made from plain steel. The ones from Univair are all stainless.

Yes, they were a common part used in Stinsons and Cubs. Univair stamps them with the Stinson part number.

You are correct, Univair has them at over $200 each! I got some at Aircraft Spruce for a fraction of the price. (items 05-01187 and 05-01188) May not be stainless, but the ratings ("This latch provides 700 lbs. Ultimate strength and 100 lbs. Working strength.") are OK
