What to do around Shreveport

Wife and I picked up the new (to us) C180 in ATL and started back to DFW. Made it as far as Shreveport KDTN and now we are socked in probably until tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday. We are staying at the Horseshoe but are not big gamblers. What else is there to do around here??? We are having a real bad case of hotel fever and it is too early to start drinking....

Bass Pro shop is a block away right beside the river walk with a lot of stores for shopping. Could get your Christmas shopping done. Go eat at Texas Street grill for steaks or Superior Bar and Grill for Mexican food.

If it's too early to start drinking then you need a Spicy Bloody Mary, they don't count as drinking until 11:00 am 8).

Back in my bike cruisin' days, I'd always take my road map into the brekky restaurant & peruse it while having those first couple'a cups.
Usually the waitress would ask something like "where ya headed" or "where ya from", and I'd just ask her what was cool to do/see around here. I almost ALWAYS got good tips, sometimes had to double back aways, but that didn't matter, I have always had the SCubber attitude. :)

One particularly honest answer I got (in Kraploops, Bart), she said NUTHIN! :)
