Dynon remote compass

For those of you running a Dynon remote compass, are you running them in a wing? If so, is it acceptable to make a plug joint in the wing root in that cable. The problem I have is, I don't know how I will get that plug out to the module just outboard of the fuel tank once the tank is in and secured. Leading edge is basically sealed up and the trailing edge is iffy with spar clearance and reaching the plug through my inspection hole. If I make a plug joint, I can go ahead and plug the compass in and run the cable back to the wing root now. Suggestions???

Thanks,
Jay

Jay, I beleive the last one I did I used a Molex plug (the style of plug on whelen strobes) to make connections at the wing root.

I'll check it and get back to you. D

We cut the length of the harness to size, and put a connector in at the wing root.

Perfect. Thanks Jason, that's what I will do. Makes things a whole lot easier.
