Does anyone know how shock cords are rated? Meaning, is the pound test to failure or useful extension for lack of a better term.

I understand the pound test. Is this the breaking point or acceptable weight x however many you need. I have 4 1380's with 1160# test.

Aircraft spruce have cold weather shock cords for double the price. Do you really need them? I'am from MN. and never used them. Does any body know what the difference is? I need to buy some for the cub.

Whatever you do, put them on so the stretch is equal on both sides, or they will fail quickly. I get ten to fifteen years out of the standard rings.
