Okay, its not for a Super cub...and it definitely isn't ski season.
I have rigged the skis for my Champ and made crust cutters for them also. Anyone know what size (diameter) of shock cord is supposed to be used? 1/2" or 5/8".
Thanks

That would depend on how tough you are, most men can stretch 1/2'' to hook them up, but it take's a real man to stretch 5/8'' without your feet slipping out and you falling on your face  I know were all tough, but I went back to 1/2'', I,m a wimp, but I still have my front teeth. Federal drawings only call for 1/2'', and when your done flying for the day, don't forget to unhook them so they can relax back to there original length.

LMAO!!! Okay, I got a good chuckle out of that!!
I'll go with 1/2 inch.
I forgot one thing....How long (average)are the crust cutters? I haven't finished making them yet.
Thanks,
WW

Lower 48, 6'', north of the border, or Hasting NYS, your gona need more cable, right Scott, remember, the longer you make the crust cutters, the shorter the bungee gets, the bungees they had 40 years ago had more stretch, or more travel to them then the stuff you get today. The hog rings that they sell for 1/2'' IMO are to small to hold under a load, I make mine out of 12 penny nails, cut the heads off, and make a ring out of it, pita, but it works better.

Thanks much!! All great info that I can use. I'll make them plenty long.
