Throttle leaver rod

Have any of you experimental Smith Cub types replaced the rod that ties the front and rear position throttle leavers in sync with a control cable? The stroke I need is 8" and the longest stroke I can find is 6".(story of my life)
Any help?
Thanks,
PR

If you have two doors I would consider using a teleflex red jacket cable. Do not buy a cheap cable! Just mount the pivot lower so you do not need as much travel.

Tim,
Are you using a cable rather than the rod? I found a company that will build one with a 6" stroke. I will probably shorten the stroke on the leaver.

Paul-

I am not building one, but that is what I would do. You can buy two of these connectors and then use a standard teleflex red jacket supreme cable, dont buy a cheap cable!!! :
