What is the most cost efficient approach to aquiring one of these?
Part No. 12309.,$145 from Univair,ouch. Is there an experimental version available for my exp 18?

You might try contacting Nick Smith or the TCOW guys. They might sell you one that with a little cutting and fitting would work. Good luck.

Dan's Aircraft Repair has a pile of them (new original Piper stock) they got with the Israeli spare parts (two 40' vans full) they picked up.

Its a very easy piece to make. Need access to a 4 foot break is the only catch, like at a plumbing shop or something. Another thing that really helps is being able to trace an old one.If you make one reinforce it where the throttle levers come out by riviting in another piece of aluminum angle. They always crack there. doug
