Shipping A Spraker Fuselage To Minnesota

Grant

FRIEND
At Work.....
I was wondering if anybody has a preference for shipping a fuselage. Whats the cheapest route. I'm not in a hurry.

Grant,
You might try Partain Transport. They transport a lot of Van's Aircraft kits from Oregon to all areas of the country. You might be able to have them deliver your fuselage for you at a reasonable price if they are headed back to Oregon empty.

When I had mine shipped I believe it came Yellow Freight or one of the competing companies. What you might want to avoid is telling them it is "airplane parts". I would get a quote for "metal truss". Then insure it for what you paid+. Believe it or not I only paid around $300 from FL to WA state. The minute you tell them airplane then watchout. The price just tripled or quadrupled.

Robert warned me about that. "Metal Truss" works for me. Wow - I'll gladly pay $300 Bucks to ship it freight.
