View Full Version : ECI Service Bulletin on IO520/550 Continentals

So it seems the Friendly Flying Agency has issued a SAIB on ECI cylinders installed on Contential IO 520 and IO 550 engines, such as are installed on C-185's and others.

Anyone have experience with this yet? How big a deal is the initial/repetetive inspection?

My PA-20 has ECI cylinders installed on them and the AD limits their life to 800 hours. My compression is 78 or better on all jugs. ECI is taking the old cylinders in and giving rebates to install Titan jugs. When it is all said, I'll pay $1300.00 for 4 Titans. Of course, I have to do the work myself.
