All you A&P's out there take note, The Kenmore Air Harbor is in need of qualified people who want to restore DHC-2 and DHC-3 aircraft, better known as Beavers and Otters. It appears the market for custom beavers is not only alive again, but seriously thriving! So anyone out there who wants to work for the premier float plane restoration/maintenance facility in the world should head on down to the Kenmore Air Harbor in Kenmore, Washington.

definately true. there are several full rebuild projects that are ready to start. and they are executive-class rebuilds. one just finished a few weeks ago and it is beautiful. folks seem to love working there too. great location.

I used to work for Kenmore. It was one of my most favorite jobs. Fantastic place, fun people, but low pay. I was offered a better paying job and left. The company is big enough where you are going to have to deal with the typical political BS and unhappy coworkers. I have no idea if the mechanics pay scale is competitive now, but anyone who thinks they are going to get rich working on airplanes needs to have their head examined.

If you think your going to get rich working on airplanes you are crazy, no one claimed you would. There's still some 200,000 A&P out there so there must be something else to it. Kenmore's pay is much better than it used to be, but Settle is a very expensive place to live, as you well know. All that aside, if a person is really into their trade, and would like a chance to do some really high quality work in a fun/crazy environment, Kenmore is hiring.
