August 18 - 20 2006 - Johnson Creek!

Hey folks, I just CAN'T keep the cat in the bag any longer, I have been talking with Dave Kirsten about the 2006 Johnson Creek Fly in and WOOO HOOO is it going to be HOT! Get your calendars marked for August 18-20 and sit back and wait for the details! He has organized so many cool "must be present to win" prizes, etc, you won't believe it! I don't!

I've had my calendar marked for JC since last year. This will be the second coming for me (hee hee). Any event that Mr. Dave Kirsten is involved in is a definite do not miss event. Hope to see ya'll there.

Strata - buddy - rejigger your vacation so you catch that other fly in the weekend before and have your week in ID and catch the Supercub fly-in the following weekend. I will bring the scotch.

Those other fly-ins are actually more than a month before the Idaho Backcountry Fly-in - three fly-ins in all - the Maule fly-in at Big Creek, the Backcountry Pilot fly-in at J.C., and the UBCP fly-in at Smiley Creek...all on the weekend of July, 15. I'm commited to that week starting in Arlington at the EAA fly-in, and cash is spread way too thin this year to do much else unless our fortunes take a drastic turn for the better in the next two months.

I believe in miracles, but that's almost what it's gonna take to be in Johnson Creek in August...not to mention that work commitments will keep Alyce at home that week which would make me immensely unpopular at home if I did finagle a way to go.
