Can anyone tell me how far vertically the landing gear axle moves up and down without the bungees installed in convential length and exteded gear setups? What is the minimum prop to ground clearance required on a PA12 or 14?

I don't know what the gear travel is, but the minimum propellor clearance is 9 inches in a level flight attitude. Thus you must lift the tail up and then measure your prop clearance. Thus either extended gear or big tires are needed for an 82 inch prop as an example.
