For the second year in a row, I have traveled to Ruidoso, NM for a little hunting and looked up Ruidoso Ron. The visits have been spectacular. The first time Ron let me pilot his Super Cub out of KSRR, Sierra Blanca Regional, at 7,000 feet MSL. Last week I flew in to KSRR in the new Cessna T182T. A buddy of mine and I went and visited Ron and his wife at their house, had a "couple" of drinks, saw Ron's Cub being rebuilt and had a great time. Ron loaned me his T-hangar and actually put my plane in while I was off hunting! Doesn't get more friendly than that.

Ron, the trip from KSRR to KGTU was a little exciting, but all went well. There is a bag of turkey feathers on your bench in the hangar for your wife.

Many thanks.

Glad you explained the feathers, Larry. I thought maybe the turkeys were starting to roost in my hangar. I had to do a little moving of junk, as you may have noticed. That's the biggest airplane that's been in it since I sold the 180. Man! That is one beautiful airplane, but it was all I could do to find the oil pressure indication on all that glass when I taxied it to the hangar. By-the-way, it does a heck of a snap roll! Patsy says "Hi", and said to thank you for the feathers. Come back sooner, and tell Jeff to come along too.
