What kind of material can be used to seal SC doors that have gaps ranging from close to 1/4"? The stick on kind doesn't stay stuck.

door gaps

The foam rolled material with leather covering used on production aircraft is called "windlacing' and is found at Aircraft Spruce, among other suppliers. Typically, it is held in place inside your door jamb material by thin metal strips screwed to the jamb, so that the door closes tightly against it.

It's also refered to as "Windseal". Same difference. It can be made but you need the .250 backing rod and the matching vinyl. It's sandwiched between a single strip of vinyl. most auto interior places have what you need if you can sew it yourself. Never tried buying it always had it made. Leather works well too.
