Lift strut attach reinforcements

I noticed the Wipaire and other 2000lb GW mods put a reinforcment insert on the lift strut fittings. The Wipaire one looks like a aluminum casting or block.

My D&E wings are supposedly good for 2000lb but I would like to add some beefup to my lift strut fittings. I am thinking about a 7075T6 insert on one side of the front and rear fittings. Mainly choosing the 7075 for light weight and strength. Anyone have any comments? What have other folks done? Thanks in advance.

Atlee Dodge makes a doubler, I beleive out of steel. It is an STC item and easy to install. (907)344-1755

I bought them from Atlee. They werent that expensive.

Does Atlee double both sides of the fitting or just one? Front and rear?
