Hi Rand,
I heard recently that a fellow in Minnesota bought a Fuselage from Mitchell
and that the FAA refused to ok it. Any truth to the story?
Anything new on his case? CubParts.com is off the internet.

Paul,
We have secured the fuselage from being installed on a U.S. registered
aircraft. The last information I have is that Mitchell is attempting to
purchase the fuselage.
Mr. Mitchell has also been advised in writing that the products he
manufactures that do not exactly match the approved U.S. type design (circa 1947 as officially approved by the U.S. FAA) are not eligible for
installation or importation into the U.S. We do not recognize the approval
that Transport Canada has given to Mtichell to modify the type design.
However, he is free to sell the products for Canadian consumption with the
recognition that they are not eligible for export to the U.S.
