There is also an underwater egress training program scheduled in Fairbanks this week.

The classroom session (mandatory) is Friday night, March 25, at the Noel Wien Library, starting at 7 PM and running till 9 PM.

Pool sessions are scheduled for the Patty Center Pool at UAF on Saturday, March 26 from 11 to 3 and Sunday, noon to 3:30 PM. Again, you must attend the classroom session to participate in the pool sessions. The classroom session is open to the public.

I highly recommend this class to anyone. I went a few years back when I was going to school in FAI. I think Supercub.org's own mvivion helped organize it. In any case, it was put on by the Coast Guard, and was quite good. I don't fly floats at all, but it was definitely a great experience.

Cub Kid,

It is great training. And, remember, you don't have to fly on floats to wind up upside down in a river. Rivers have gravel bars.

It is great training. The session in Fairbanks is being sponsored by the Seaplane Pilots Association, the Alaskan Aviation Safety Foundation, and the FAA. Coast Guard will put on the training.

The Alaskan Aviation Safety Foundation, the FAA and the Coast Guard will also be offering this training in Homer I believe at the end of April. You Homeroids should certainly look for it in your neighborhood.

Jon Osgood is coordinating the Homer event.
