Yikes!!!! What a waste of a good Cub. I would imagine it was later converted back?

Fun to look at these old pictures, If anyone finds a colored picture of a PA-18 105 Special used by the Civil Air Patrol in 1953. I would really like to see that. So far no one has been able to find one. 243 were made.

It's not CAP or in color, but here is a picture of a USAF PA18-105SP. The person I got the picture from made his USAF solo in this plane. He says the overall color was yellow (Cub Yellow (?) or AN). "N" number on rudder and under wing in black. Note "N" number corrisponds with aircraft number on side TA-176 = N176T. Symbol aft of cowling is training command emblem.

Flew'd Subercub 105SP N264T quite a bit during the late '60's; the Johnson Administration, NO dagnabbit, not ANDREW Johnson.

Try to grub through the old photos and stuff, post if anything interesting.

She taught me a lot about pitch control, and slips in crosswinds.
