Saturday was a great day, with beautiful weather.
Started off by taking my wife to a fly-in breakfast in the Cherokee.
Nothing special about the Cherokee, but getting my wife to an early
morning fly-in was.
Returned to our airport, waved bye to her, switched to a J-3 and flew to
a neighboring field to grill hotdogs.
Switched again, to a Stearman and flew to still another not so
neighboring field to form up with a 300 horse Pitts for a return flight
to Colonial ('hotdog field'). Flew the Stearman while we took photos of
the Pitts doing 8-point hesitation rolls off our wingtip. The old
Boeing makes a really stable camera platform, and the two biplanes made for a nice formation (albeit at far different power settings). We beat up 'hotdog field' a bit on return.
Then switched back to the cub again and flew a friend down to still
another field to pick up his ultralight, which had been repaired after a
few sproinged landings.
Back to 'hotdog' in the cub for one more frankfurter, and then on to my
home field.
A great day.

P.S. Did I mention that it was a great day?
